BACKGROUND + EXPERIENCE

Johannah graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta in 1997, where she earned an Associates degree in Visual Communications. She was honored to receive the "Best Portfolio" award from her graduating class. Johannah furthered her studies at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Art Education in 2001.

Johannah started her professional career in graphic design at The Food Marketing Institute, in Washington, DC. In the off-hours, she took advantage of opportunities to further her artistic endeavors by entering her artwork in several nation-wide competitions, including the "Pandamania" contest, conducted by the DC Commission of the Arts. Johannah was chosen as one of the 150 artists to decorate a six-foot panda sculpture that graced the streets of DC during the summer of 2004. Her finished panda was auctioned off for charity, with proceeds going to benefit grants and arts education programs.

While in DC, Johannah continued to practice graphic design for organizations and companies such as The Torpedo Factory and Whole Foods Market. After serving a volunteer eighteen month mission to Taiwan, in 2005, Johannah returned to the graphic design and marketing industry. In Richmond, VA, she joined the marketing team at Evergreen Enterprises and worked there until relocating to Albuquerque, NM. Albuquerque proved to be a good move, professionally, for Johannah, as she excelled as Senior Graphic Designer and Photographer for Carolyn Pollack Jewelry. Johannah has spent the last 8 years as Director of Visual Communications at Fulcrum Strategies, in Raleigh, NC, where she manages the graphic design and social media for clients throughout the U.S.

Johannah likes decorating, biking, hiking, experimenting with new recipes, and playing with her son, Jack.
